Okay, so I have decided I cannot be THAT lazy (after writing Lazy Wednesday post, the laziness continued for a few more hours) and decorated a room for upcoming Halloween. Going to make some "severed-finger cookies" for the weekend. The cookies look really creepy, with dirty and bloody fingernails made of almonds. Hope they are yummy- never tried the recipe... :)
Omelet is greenish but don't be fooled, it was very yummy. Used 2 eggs, and for some extra protein I added 2 table spoons of coconut flour, 1 tablespoon of hemp flour, salt, and water. On top: whole milk plain yogurt, pineapple, and dried cherries.
In case you wonder: hemp flour or hemp milk products do not have THC, so you cannot get high... Perfectly safe. :)
The negative side of making small pictures is that usually one needs to sit. And sitting for long hours is definitely not good for me! So decided to go running last week. It was lots of fun, more than I thought it would be. Planning to go again on Saturday and perhaps beat my last week's time.
The weather gets a little cold though, so had to invest in running leggings. Missing summer already!
I was going through some art papers and found these lithographs that I made while still in school. Although a little creepy, I do like them. Perfect for Halloween!
To make a lithograph, you make a drawing on a special stone with very greasy crayons, etch it, and then ink the stone and print from it. One need to be vary careful not to touch the stone with greasy fingers because the place will catch ink later and you will have fingerprints all over the paper. They may destroy your work. There is a way to delete them or any mistakes but it is better to keep it clean fro the start. What I like about lithographs is the look of very soft dark lines. Need to make some more in the future!
